Party
One person, no band. Songs people already know, loud enough to count, and requests if you want them. A flute doing the job a singer usually does.

A one woman band. I can work a room and get people up, or I can be the music that makes an evening better without taking it over. Most bookings want some of each, and I will ask which way round.
One person, no band. Songs people already know, loud enough to count, and requests if you want them. A flute doing the job a singer usually does. If there is a piano in the room I use that too. I work all over Switzerland and abroad: my first booking in this format was in London.
Set-up is not instant. I play to instrumental playback, so I need the room properly and a sound check before guests arrive. Tell me when it is free and I will be early.
I play the vocal line rather than the tune, which is why people recognise a song instead of working out what it is. In my own scores I write sing over the flute part.
